COTS Candlelight VigilEvery year, during the week of the winter solstice, people in Burlington pause to reflect on those who are homeless in our community. The annual COTS Candlelight Vigil takes place outside City Hall on Church Street starting at 5:30 p.m. Advocates and people who are homeless read names, ages and brief vignettes about some of the people who have turned to COTS for help this year. This is a moving event and an opportunity to take time out during the hectic holiday season to remember those who most need our help and focus on what is being done to help them regain independent lives. This year’s Candlelight Vigil took place on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009. Call 864-7402If you want to get involved! |
